UpWard Bound Friends & Fun

As many of you know I disappeared for a month, but it was well worth it. I worked at a summer academic camp at UVSC called UpWard Bound. For four weeks I lived in apartments with teenage girls and served as their tutor/counselor (or TC). I ate, slept, studied, and did everything in between with the students and staff for the month of June. I did, however, have Saturdays off. In the above picture I am setting up a spider web with string for an Olympic event for the students with Moises and Mark (two other TC's).
ROAR!!! ROAR!!!! While setting up for another Olympic event I decided to play around. I tried on a random dinosaur costume that we had and crawled around the grass growling. Lani, one of the other TC's was a bit frightened by my fierce dino moves when I attacked her. It was pretty funny.

Here I am at the closing banquet with one of my girls, Meri Addy. It was hard to part because she isn't going on the trip with us to SLC next week. But I am sure we will keep in touch. She is an amazing person and has a great Knack for keeping people's attention and making them laugh. I will definitely miss her.

Here I am with all the other TC's at the final banquet (Mark, Lani, Me, and Moises). I loved working with them and know that we will all keep being friends. In fact I already have plans to go out with all of them.

I think that I know Moises. I am pretty sure that he served in the Peru Lima North Mission, sometime around July '99 - July '01.
